The journey of Horti Robotics did not begin with big plans. We began with a welding machine in a small shed and a mindset shaped by our time in South Africa, which was to solve the problems right in front of you, using what you have. That mindset still guides us today.

At Horti Robotics, we work closely with our customers. Each machine is created to solve a real problem, shaped by listening, building, testing, and improving it all with our team. We do not chase trends. Instead, we are focused on building practical, reliable solutions that are carefully and thoughtfully designed for growers ready to move forward.

Lead Engineer / Robot and Vision Programmer

Programs robots and vision systems. Coordinates technical work, contributes to machine development, possesses extensive product knowledge, and leads technical improvements. Also provides remote support for technical and electrical issues at customer sites.

Diederik van den Brink

Engineer/Purchaser/Workshop Technician

Designs machine parts and assemblies (CAD work), manages purchasing of materials, and is capable of welding, machine assembly, and workshop technician tasks.

Frank Gerritsen

Software engineer

Programs PLC systems and manages communication between different systems. Supports the technical operation of machines and provides remote support for technical and electrical problems at customer sites.

Gerrit Baars

Founder/Director/Technical and Commercial Lead (Sales)

Co-founder and owner. Oversees the company's direction, develops new machine concepts, handles customer relations for new projects, and is primarily responsible for sales activities.

Henk Baars

Founder/Director/Technical and Service Lead (After-Sales Support)

Co-founder and owner. Oversees the company's direction, develops new machine concepts, handles customer relations for new projects, and is primarily responsible for service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Marijke Baars- van Dijk

Administrative Assistant

Supports the organization with general administrative tasks.

Rein Baars

Workshop Technician/Prototype Builder

Builds and tests prototypes, performs machining and welding work, and is continuously active in the workshop on new developments.

Reindert Baars

Inspector / Administrative Assistant / System Administrator

Handles quality control, administrative support, and internal system management.

Henk Nooteboom

Sales Manager Grafting Robot (Apple and Pear Industry)

Responsible for the sales of the Grafting Robot specifically within the apple and pear industry.

Willem Jan van Manen

Engineer/Technical Writer/Workshop Technician

Creates technical drawings and documentation, including assembly instructions, user manuals, and safety guidelines for machines. Also capable of welding, assembly, and workshop technician work.
