Horti Robotics began its journey in 2013 when a father and his two sons founded Baars Techniek in a small workshop in the Betuwe region of the Netherlands. With a background in South Africa, where hands-on problem-solving was the norm, they took on any technical project that came their way. This resourceful approach quickly became the driving force behind the company’s early success.

By 2020, they rebranded as Horti Robotics to reflect their commitment to robotics and automation for the future of horticulture. What started with small, practical solutions soon blossomed into game-changing technology designed to make horticulture smarter, more efficient, and more consistent. Today, Horti Robotics continues to build on its roots that focus on innovation and persistence.
