Bark insertion grafting

Bark insertion grafting is a technique in which two plants are fused together to let them grow as one. In this process, a small piece from a young plant (scion) is taken and carefully inserted under the bark of a larger tree (rootstock). This technique is performed in spring when the bark is easy to peel. As time progresses, the two parts fuse to form a healthy plant.

The bark insertion grafting method works best for gardeners, farmers, and plant breeders who wish to grow new plants but don’t want to cut down old trees. It is also time-saving, prevents tree damage, and gives good quality yields.
